Bar Tartine doesn't need any introductions. Located on the Valencia St. where many top restaurants abound, such as Locanda, this establishment offers the most original ice cream sandwich I've ever tasted. Flavored as 'toast', the ice cream sandwich comes out looking like a big block of pound cake with a cute, striped red and white ribbon. The dense ice cream, which I'm guessing is infused with cereal or bread, sandwiched on buckwheat cookie elevates me to heaven. You've got to try it to believe it. The unique texture and flavor are perfectly executed.
