As I've mentioned before, Mama's in North Beach is never on my list of Best Brunches in San Francisco. But because I was a food sherpa for an out-of-towner food blogger, sssourabh, I decided to bring him to this long-time institution, no less, during Mother's Day.

The long 2-hour wait under the abnormal San Francisco sunny weather wasn't too bad. As expected though, the food was okay and not at par with other brunch spots in the city. I'd rather go across the street at Park Tavern, which would have spared me the long wait. Lesson learned.
