Mission Cheese was not really part of the plan during my Valencia Street food tour, which includes Bar Tartine, Craftsman and Wolves, Locanda, and Dandelion Chocolate, but I was dying to try their grilled cheese! I'm a sucker for anything that is put on a griller and cheese that melts in your mouth.

I ordered the simplest sandwich on the menu since I knew that the bread by Josey Baker of The Mill would be flavorful. The combination of Cabot and Vella cheddar with chunks of apple chutney was simple yet tasty. This casual restaurant is also a perfect spot to unwind after a long day with artisan cheese and a glass of wine.
