Ahhh, I'm so behind on many blog posts that I've been getting comments from friends if I've been traveling recently from the number of out-of-town blogs I'm posting. Every blogger knows that their is a substantial backlog on their dashboard. Mine is not an exception. I even know some that publish blogs one year later! However, I try to remain as current as possible on the latest food scene news, but it has taken me 5 months to publish this post about Gjelina, an American contemporary establishment in Venice, California.

Gjelina, as I was told, is one of the IT restaurants in Los Angeles. It had the vibe of a typical San Franciscan restaurant with much better dressed patrons. Ha! I would have loved to order more from their menu, but this was actually my second dinner of the day so I didn't have room. I would have also had a better experience if the lighting wasn't too dark (romantic, yes, but bad for food photos) even though I was seated by the window. 

What I could only remember from 5 months ago is the butterscotch pot de creme. So sorry :(
