What to Eat When in Seattle
I love traveling to Seattle, especially when the weather is pleasantly warm. During this trip, I was a tour guide for my newbie parents in the city and discovered old and new haunts that I have not been to.
1. Beecher's - People line up for their mac and cheese for a reason. I also enjoyed a parmesan pretzel bread.
2. Seafood in this town is differently fresh. Go ahead and indulge in some. Because Shiro's was such a long wait, I discovered Umi Sake House and their somewhat hidden outdoor seating.
3. Crumpets and lots of crumpets! I first thought I was getting actual smoked salmon but got disappointed when it came out in a form of a cream.
4. If you're into pickles, try Britt's Pickles.
5. Lavender ice cream from Mora in Bainbridge Island was such a treat to combat the heat.
6. For a simple, no nonsense brunch food, head to Lola.
