When I planned to visit the newest Samovar Tea Lounge at the Mission district, I was expecting the typical Samovar experience wherein I can lounge, have some light snacks and a pot of freshly brewed tea. What I saw at the Mission outpost is a totally different concept. With only a few seats available, most people order to-go. I got instantly addicted to their vegan Chai tea that is made of Almond milk. All other Samover branches don't serve the vegan Chai, mind you. I also took advantage of taste testing other teas.

Alas, due to the lack of seating and snacks at Samovar, my friends and I headed over to Dandelion. I squealed when I saw their small bites dessert tasting menu. Loved the red velvet beet cake!
